Becky Stowe, artist and owner of Beach Memories Art Gallery and Gifts, is maybe the first artist in the U.S. to commit virtually all of her paintings to the subjects of the beach and Shag community.

Stowe's pen and ink and mixed media paintings of places like "The Original Pad" and "The Pavilion" are treasured memorabilia by many collectors around the world. Since 1987, she has created a special commemorative limited edition print twice per year for S.O.S (Society of Stranders) events where over 10,000 shaggers come to town.

Twice per year since 1992, Stowe's art has been featured on the cover of The Carefree Times.

In 1993, she was designated as the Official Artist in Residence for the Society of Stranders.

In 1996, she received a Cammy Industry Appreciation Award. She also received the S.O.S. Chairman's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.

She became a Sand Flea Honorary Living Legend in 2001.

She continues to work in her studio, devoted to her artistic passions.
