	Fall SOS 2009 "Light up the Tower" Signed & Numbered $65.00 Artist Proof $90.00 This painting was a challenge to say the least! I thought to myself "A night scene with a spot lighting the shaggers on the tower? How will that look? How can I paint that?" I expressed these concerns to my husband, Milford, and he said "no problem! I have a 10 million candle spotlight. When it gets dark, we'll go behind the convenience store (which is across the street from the tower) and I'll shine the light on the shag dancers that are painted on the tower and you take photos. Then you can paint from those pictures." The night after he opened "The Pirate's Cove", together we headed up the street to the watertower. He spot lighted the dancers and it worked ( much to my surprise ) and I got in some shots. It was kinda fun and we did get some strange looks from passing tourists. I heard one say "must be a couple of crazy locals!" I can't tell you how it makes me feel seeing my silouette dancers on the Ocean Drive watertower and especially now that they will be spot lighted at night for all to see! It's awesome and exciting! It makes me feel very proud, honored, humbled, and giddy with a warm fuzzy feeling. All of the above wrapped up into one great feeling! WOW! Love to all, Becky

	A Tribute To "Fat Harold" Bessent
	Spring 2008 SOS - A Tribute to "Fat Harold" Bessent Signed & Numbered $65.00 Artist Proof $90.00 He doesn't remember it, but I first met Harold at the old Spanish Galleon during the mid-sixties while I was on vacation from N.C. Harold was behind the bar that evening and provided us with cold beer and great jokes. I remember laughing until tears came to my eyes! Little did I know at the time that someday he would become a big part of my life. I did not see Harold again until 1982 at his place called "Harold's Across the Street": also known as "HATS". This building was originally "The Barrel" and was next door to "The Pad". My husband ( Milford ) and I had some great times there with Harold, his wife Anne, Lu Lu, Marcus Thompson, Jimmy Soles, Kathy Kelly, Louie Wachsmith and so may other I don't have room to name! Harold later moved to the "Fat Jack's Beach Club" at the horseshoe & oceanfront and named it "Fat Harold's". More great times were had there with house DJ Richard Nixon playing the best beach music ever! The best times were on the deck listening to the music, drinking a cold beverage, and eating cheese fries. I sold my first print there at "Fat Harold's" on the oceanfront in the spring of 1986. In 1988 the property was sold and Harold moved back to "HATS" and re-named it "Fat Harold's At The Pad". In 1992, he opened the newly renovated former "Rock Option" and it is the famous "Fat Harold's Beach Club" you see today on Main Street. This Spring I have dedicated my S.O.S. print to the man that made North Myrtle Beach the "shagging capitol of the world". Happy early 75th Birthday Harold!
